Christmas Survey

I have heard of neighborhoods that have chosen to pool together their resources to donate to a charitable organization (e.g., food bank, homeless shelter ) instead of sharing Christmas treats/gifts with each other. I wondered if our neighborhood might be interested in starting a tradition like this?

If we choose to go forward with this, I thought maybe we could set a day that we could gather together and share some hot chocolate and treats, visit, and collect our donations. Ideally, I thought we could meet on a Saturday morning early in December in one of the cul-de-sacs. 

I certainly don't want to replace any traditions, so I thought an anonymous survey could give you the chance to share your opinion as to whether you would be interested or not.
